IPL laser technology

IPL (INTENSE PULSED LIGHT) SKIN REJUVENATION

IPL is the gold standard for photorejuvenation. This patented technology provides dramatic results for a variety of benign conditions.

How intense pulsed light works

IPL technology is a type of laser that generates intense bursts of red or blue light. These heat the dermal tissue without harming or removing the outer epidermal layers of the skin. The body’s natural processes then work to break down and remove these marks. The appearance of any skin imperfection is then visibly reduced.

What IPL treatment involves

A cooling gel is first applied to the area to be treated and you’ll be asked to wear protective eyewear.

A state-of-the-art M22 or Lumenis One IPL machine is then gently applied. This delivers precise pulses of light that eliminate the pigment or imperfection without damaging surrounding tissue.

How long does it take and after your IPL treatment?

The treatment is virtually pain-free but you may experience a slight tingling sensation and have some redness after for an hour to 24 hours. Each treatment takes around 30 minutes and you will be able to leave the clinic immediately after your session.

IPL results

Your skin will appear fresher, rejuvenated and younger-looking even after just a few treatments.Visible results can be dramatic with the increased collagen production toning and improving the elasticity of your skin. IPL is effective in itself but a combination of treatments could enhance results further.

Regular treatments keep skin looking young and fresh

We also recommend a top-up treatment once or twice a year to maintain your rejuvenated skin. Around 3 to 6 treatments at 4 week intervals is usually required.
