Cryotherapy / freezing

Cryotherapy is the use of and application of extremely low temperatures e.g. -296 degrees centigrade to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. We may use cryotherapy to treat seborrheic and viral warts, actinic keratoses and pre cancerous lesions such as Bowen’s disease amongst others. Often after treatment the skin may swell and rarely blister. The treatment may need to be repeated, especially when treating viral warts.
