Skin check and mole mapping

While most moles and markings on your body are normal, it can be beneficial to have a non-invasive mole check to identify any new or changing moles or lesions. The doctor will examine your skin and a Dermatoscope will be used to examine any marks that require a deeper look. Baseline images are taken, and we recommend you return yearly for further imaging to monitor any changes. If any mole or lesion requires a biopsy or removal to check for signs of skin cancer, our doctor will be able to do this for you in our operating theatre at Tarrant Street. Dr Hextall has published on the benefits of skin examinations in early pick up of Melanomas.
